Program: Online Course: Exploring Power through Art

Online Course opens October 12 and closes November 16. Last day to enroll is October 26.

 

What does the concept of “power” look like in your classroom? Join us to discover how the visual arts can support student learning about big ideas and concepts such as power. Particpants learn from working artists, exercise their own creative capcities, and leave with stategies for using art as a catalyst for learning in the classroom. This flexible professionsl development program allows you to choose your level of involvement.

 

Participants will gain an understanding of the relevance of visual literacy in the classroom and how strategies can support the ELA Anchor Standards for Literacy as they practice and apply literacy related activities focused on comprehension, and vocabulary. 

 

Sign up for both the online and onsite experiences and earn a Certificate of Participation for 10 hours (1.0 CEU credit, with prior approval from the local school system). Or, opt for either the online or onsite portions to receive 0.5 CEU. Onsite experience includes lunch.
